Tickets are now officially on sale for the The Dreaming Collective Sunshine Coast NAIDOC Gala 2026 celebrating this year’s national NAIDOC theme, “50 Years of Deadly”.

Join us on Kabi Kabi Country at The Shed at Aussie World for an unforgettable evening celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, community, leadership and Blak excellence.

The evening will feature:
• Cultural performances
• Live music and entertainment
• Sunshine Coast Blak Excellence Awards
• First Nations artists and creatives
• Networking and community celebration
• Two-course dinner with native-inspired flavours

We are also now seeking sponsors, award partners and raffle prize donations to help make this community celebration possible and support The Dreaming Collective Christmas Hamper Drive.

You are warmly invited to join The Dreaming Collective for our National Reconciliation Week Breakfast, to be held on Thursday 28 May 2026 downstairs in the restaurant at Pier 33, Mooloolaba.

This year’s theme, All In, calls on all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every day. It reminds us that reconciliation is not passive, nor is it solely the responsibility of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Real progress requires shared responsibility, collective action, and the courage to move beyond words into meaningful change.

This breakfast provides an opportunity for community, business, government and sector leaders to come together in reflection and commitment during National Reconciliation Week, strengthening relationships and advancing practical action.

The morning will include:

• Welcome to Country by Uncle Lyndon Davis
• Live music by Al Bartholomew
• Keynote address from Natalie Williams
• Breakfast and networking

About our speaker:
Natalie Williams is a proud descendant of the Kamilaroi and Gubbi Gubbi peoples, a World Champion natural bodybuilder, business owner, and children’s author. As founder of Stori.Rise, she works with individuals and organisations to build strong brands and sustainable businesses. Through her work and lived experience, Natalie champions discipline, resilience and the importance of backing yourself for the long game.

I am honoured to share that I have been appointed to the Board of Outback Stores Pty Ltd by the Albanese Government.

Outback Stores plays a vital role in supporting food security in remote First Nations communities by improving access to affordable and healthy food through supply chain support, store management and community partnerships.

I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this important work and to support outcomes that strengthen the wellbeing of our communities across remote Australia.

I look forward to working alongside fellow newly appointed Directors Geoffrey Thomas and Brian Wyborn, and the broader Board, to continue advancing the organisation’s mission.

Thank you to the Minister for Indigenous Australians, Senator Malarndirri McCarthy, for the appointment and ongoing commitment to improving access to essential goods in remote communities.
