For the visual artists and the art curious, a mythological and fantasy inspired life drawing retreat is coming up at beautiful Natural Bridge, May 22-24.
Drawing inspiration from Greek mythology and folklore, this retreat is fully catered and held by a magical creek in the Springbrook escarpment country. Check the link for more info x

In a beautiful valley surrounded by ancient rock escarpments, birdsongs, and magic, we gather to explore the human form through guided life drawing sessions.

On behalf of Island Vibe, I'd like to pay respect to the life and legacy of Bill Hauritz, a founder and director of the incomparable Woodford Folk Festival. I've attended Woodford in many forms, as a punter, performance poet, musician, DJ, chai wallah and stage manager, and it has always been an inspiration and guiding light in how to create a magical festival.
Many contempory festivals have a simple formula - music and booze. In contrast Woodford gives us every colour of the kaleidoscopic creative rainbow. It's a festival dedicated to sharing knowledge, ideas, cultural traditions and creating life long connections and memories. There's also a strong ethical side to Woodford, where landcare, people care and respect for First Nations is embedded in their core philosophy. This wonderful example has inspired generations and set the bar for Australian Festivals.
Thank you Bill Hauritz for having a beautiful vision to share with the world, and dedicating so many years of your life to the arts and culture. We are all richer for your work.

We look forward to welcoming you to our inland Island Vibe camp out. The calibre of world class musicians and artists invited to play are mind blowing. And this is from our home grown community!! The program this year is a tribute to the foundations of Island Vibe, some of the acts that were there at the beginning - Kingfisha, Kooii, Mista Savona, Chocolate Strings, Bobby Alu, the Yama-nui/Raw Ordio Oka Tribute, Spankinhide, Tommy Sexton and Andrea Kirwin - artists that are still rocking it even stronger today. Joining them are some fabulous established and emerging artists - Groove Bahia, The Seeding, District Dub City, Solua, Deline Briscoe, Arileke, Bass Fairy, Byron Dreaming, The Sugarfunk Fairies, Mad Bunny and the Waawidgie Yuaar Werei Dance Troupe.
