🎨 Our Final Farewell Workshop: Screen Printing 🌟
As a way to say goodbye to the studio and thank you for all your support, we’re holding one last workshop—a Screen Printing Workshop—and we’d love for you to join us!
📅 Dates: Thursday 23rd & Friday 24th January
🕒 Times:
Standard Session: 10–11:30am, 11:30am–1pm, 1–2:30pm, 2:30–4pm (4 people per session, $25)
Create Your Own Design: 10am–2pm (3 people per session, $50)
💡 In the workshop, you’ll screen print pre-made stencil designs onto t-shirts, calico bags, or materials you bring from home. Or, for those feeling extra creative, design and cut your own stencil!
Prices include materials (limited t-shirt sizes available). Bookings are essential—message us here or call 0458 594 943 to secure your spot.
This is not just a workshop; it’s a chance to celebrate the journey of Creatively Curious. We hope as many of you can pop in to participate or simply say goodbye. Your support over the years has meant the world to us. 🖤

After 5 years , starting with the isolating pandemic , the Creatively Curious Art Studio will be closing down. It’s been a hard decision to make for me, but a much needed one……. my accountant has been advising it for years haha….. But in all that is said and done, I wasn’t running the studio for the money, I was running it because I love Art, learning, thinking, laughing, going off about the crap things in life, music and want to share the love with my local community and other creative souls.
Creatively Curious, as a business for community art such as SipnPaints , Murals, Artist in Residence and other art projects, will still be available and can be contacted on Facebook or my mobile number.
Un fortunately, after school art tuition won’t be running in 2025 at this stage. I will miss this immensely, working with and knowing the art students that have come through the past years has been a privilege and a great learning experience 😊
I am hoping, after having a break and regrouping in to one place where I can live and have an art studio (with all my awesome stuff I collected over the years and is a veritable treasure trove haha :D ), art classes can start up again. I need to find that place yet…..
At the Moment, the studio is being sorted, the act of which is immense, chaotic, fluffy, interesting and surprising. Man I have collected some crap over the years but some of it is so cool!
Anyway, I found a heap of tshirts, calico bags and screenprinting stencils of different images and plan to have some screen printing workshops Thursday 23rd Jan and Friday 24th Jan to use these up. I will post more details separately on that later.

The Devil made me Do it Screen Printing Workshop is happening tomorrow 10 am to 3pm! If you can make it, give us a tingle/text beforehand so we can even the number of people out over the day. If you can't make it but really want a tshirt, text or call, and tell us which devil design (from photos), size and colour of tshirt and we can print one and send it ( postage additional) or you can pick up later.

One final reminder for our CHArts event this Saturday, 10-3pm. Come along to the Studio for some devilish screen printing.

$20 to bring along a shirt or jumper from home
$30 to purchase a shirt and calico bag from us on the day

Come and have a look at a wide selection of cards created by the studio art kids. They have been working hard the past few weeks on their devils and Australian flora and fauna creations made into cards to sell to the public.

Cash and Card will be accepted. Hope to see you all there!

🎨🐄 Once in a Blue Moo'd – Sip 'n' Paint Recap! 🐄🎨

Yesterday’s Sip and Paint at the CHArts festival was a huge success. With a sold-out session, we had a full house of painters ready to paint their own moo’d cows.

The MOO'D Festival was a fantastic event for the town, and it was so great to see so many people out and about enjoying the day—despite the chilly weather🐄🧀

Each painter created a unique cow that reflected their mood, and it was amazing to see the variety: from hot pink, galaxy-inspired, pastel, multi-coloured and many other cows! The freedom to choose paint colours really brought out everyone’s creativity, making it such a fun and cathartic experience 🎨🖌️🐄

A huge thank you to:
✨ Jodie and the team at the council for all your help with organizing and packing up!
✨ The Circular Head Study Centre for letting us use your the space.
✨ The wonderful Lisa—your help with the prep, setup, and cleanup is always invaluable, not to mention the awesome company and humor.

As per usual, a big shoutout to Fran, who did an incredible job managing the session in such a small space for a booked out paint. She encouraged everyone to embrace their creativity and make each cow truly their own, which made the experience even more special.

We loved seeing so many familiar faces and a few new ones.
As there was such a positive response and interest for more, we will be looking at hosting another session, so keep an eye out on Facebook or in our window.

Once in a Blue Moo'd.........
Tomorrow at the CHArts event 'Moo'd' at The Pavilions, Smithton, Creatively Curious will be hosting a SipnPaint, 1-3pm (Study Centre).
The subject will be a Mood Cow, painted in the colours that suits your mood in the moment of creating. Initially, I had a more colourful, Pop Art type cow in my mind......but my cow came out in a blue mood.....reflecting my tiredness and stress at the time. So I had the idea of providing participants choice of colour when creating their own moody cow. It is a really cathartic colour cow experience!
There are a couple of spots left if you are intending to come in for the day at THe Pavilions, $40 per person..... Or when wandering passed, come in and watch people have fun painting!

Hey everyone! As the CHArts has officially started, don't forget we have an event at the end of the month,
'The Devil Made Me Do it!' 🐾🎨

🎨 Join us for a Devilish Art Experience at the CHArts Festival! 🖌️

📅 When: Saturday, 21st September
🕙 Time: 10 AM - 3 PM
📍 Where: Creatively Curious Art Studio, Nelson Street, Smithton

Get ready for a day of creativity and fun at "The Devil Made Me Do It" event! Explore the art of screen printing with your choice of a devil stencil, specially designed by local artist Tim Broom.

🧢 Cost:

$30 for 1 T-shirt and Calico Bag
$20 to bring your own T-shirt (max 2)

Each session takes about half an hour, with a little extra time for drying.

While you're here, browse and shop a unique selection of devil-inspired artworks and crafts, created by the talented students at Creatively Curious and visual artist Fran Joyce. You'll also have the chance to meet Alice and learn about the local Tasmanian Devil.

✨ Important: Bookings aren’t essential, but only 4 can print at a time. If you're coming in a group of 8 or more, please give us a call to arrange your session!
