Art and Craft Online Classes
Hi my name is Vanessa, I am the creator and owner of Butterfly Splat. I am a qualified Visual Arts Teacher who has been teaching Art in High Schools since 2003. I have recently started my Arts and Craft business working in Primary Schools as an after-school Arts and Craft program provider. I love working with young minds, motivating self-expression and building confidence. Creative Arts helps build a strong foundation for the move to high school and prepares young people for the more self-directed style of learning. Primary to High School can be a big adjustment for their young minds.
During the pandemic quarantine I moved to free online classes in the hope of providing comfort and motivation to young minds through creative learning. The success of these classes and the smiles on your children’s faces motivated me to continue providing online classes. I could see the benefits of children being relaxed in the comfort of their own home, with no distractions and a non competitive environment. Also it further motived their “I Can Do It” mentality and allowed them to zone out into a meditative creative state. I truly enjoyed these experiences.
I am now excited to be able to provide live step by step online classes using the Zoom program. Details are listed under Events on my Butterfly Splat page. Classes run for 1hr once a week during the school term for a total 10 weeks. Programs are designed for children 7yrs of age and up and are suitable for both males and females. Each terms focus will be placed on a new theme to develop children’s skills in particular art mediums. Although the lessons are no longer free, I am pleased to say I am a registered provider for the Creative Kids Program, you can redeem your voucher with us…yeah! If you don’t have a voucher please visit service.nsw.gov.au. Butterfly Splat works hard to minimise material costs and create affordable Material Packages which can be provided at an additional cost. Alternatively you may use your own supplies.
