Unfortunately, the rain has taken Newport Park off the menu.

We’re disappointed to share that Taste the Bay Newport has been cancelled due to the current condition of the grounds.

Following recent weather, Newport Park is too wet to safely host the event. The safety of our community, suppliers and event team comes first, and unfortunately the conditions mean we can’t go ahead.

But don’t pack away the picnic rug just yet - there’s more local flavour to come, with Taste the Bay returning later this year for another delicious day out.

We're thrilled to introduce two of the incredible partners behind Taste the Bay — Meramist Pty Ltd Australian Beef and Valhalla Barbecue Catering Sunshine Coast.

Meramist are supplying the beef brisket, and Valhalla are bringing their legendary smoker to do it justice. The result? A slow cooked brisket dish that is going to be something seriously special on the day.
