Treat day for the Boesemani rainbowfish!!

Shelled green peas are a cracking healthy veg for rainbows, and the whole colony goes nuts for them. Even the long arm shrimp got one and wouldn’t let go 😂

I went out for some creek exploration today to see what lives in a local stream one of you Fish Freaks mentioned.

It is always interesting to see how these urban waterways are maintained, but this spot was a bit disappointing. Instead of seeing any movement under the surface, I was greeted by a pile of shopping trolleys, rubbish, plasting etc all dumped right in or around the stream.

The water was completely empty, with zero fish visible during my walk. It is a shame to see such a lack of life, but I am curious if there is anything hiding further downstream or hididng under the surface.

If this video hits 10 likes, I will come back with some traps to see if any native fish are actually surviving in there.

I 3D Printed The 'Perfect' Pleco Cave! 🐠

Hey Fish Freaks! I am testing out custom 3D printed caves to see if my picky Peppermint Plecos will finally breed.

Finding the perfect breeding environment is tough, but these new caves I have printed might just be the answer for these finicky fish.

Pleco Caves have to have a snug fit in order for the male to trap the female during spawning. Hopefully this cave will work!
