There are three versions of me that exist every day.
The mum.
The corporate woman.
And the creative who decided to build something of her own.
Building Signed By G alongside a career and motherhood hasn’t always looked inspiring.
It has looked like designing after Levi is asleep. Sacrificing rest, weekends and time I can’t get back. Questioning whether my work was good enough and wondering if I truly belonged in the rooms I was working so hard to enter.
But I kept going.
Quietly, consistently and often while carrying more than anyone could see.
And somewhere along the way, I stopped comparing my beginning to someone else’s middle. I started trusting my own ideas, protecting my energy and accepting that not everyone is meant to follow you into every version of your life.
I’ve become very intentional about the women I keep in my corner.
The ones who cheer loudly when something good happens. Who believe in me when I’m doubting myself. Who speak my name with love when I’m not in the room and remind me of who I am when I’ve temporarily forgotten.
There is something incredibly special about being supported by women who genuinely want to see you win. I’ll never take that for granted.
The direction I’m taking Signed By G now feels like the truest reflection of me yet bolder, sharper, more editorial and less afraid of being seen.
And through every late night, every sacrifice and every moment I’ve wanted to give up, there has been one little boy at the centre of it all.
I hope Levi grows up and sees how hard his mum worked. I hope he understands that everything I’m building has always been for him, for us.
You can doubt yourself and still keep going.
You can carry more than one dream.
And you can build something beautiful before you fully believe you’re capable of it.
I don’t have it all figured out.
I’m simply looking back at how far I’ve come and finally allowing myself to feel proud.
Of the business.
Of the sacrifices.
And of me. 🤎
