After plenty of consideration and sleepless nights deciding what would be the best for Highlander Honey, we have said goodbye to her this weekend.
Due to a genetic mutation of her reproductive gene, Honey suffered from a Prolapse in her Uterus. This caused much discomfort for our girl and we feel, that it also created her to act out of character and somewhat hyperactive. Nothing we did eased her mood.
We could not have possibly still bred her with our boy Brutus, as this defect gene is hereditary and would continuously be passed on.
Thorough reading and consult with our knowledgeable vet, our options of desexing and hysterectomy were very costly and not always safe in matured bi***es.
This decision was not an easy one but the best one for what WE felt as her family was the right choice.
See ya later girl 💕
