Creative Connections Whitsunday Inc is a vibrant community organisation that services Airlie Beach, Proserpine, Bowen and surrounding villages and is dedicated to fostering artistic expression and connection within the Whitsunday region. We offer a diverse range of events and programs that engage both artists and the broader community.​

Proserpine Rock Wallaby Festival

The Proserpine Rock Wallaby Festival is a signature event celebrating our unique local wildlife and cultural heritage. This festival brings together art, music, and community activities to raise awareness and appreciation for the Proserpine Rock Wallaby, fostering a sense of unity and environmental stewardship.​

Great Barrier Reef Festival Art Exhibition

As part of the annual Great Barrier Reef Festival, we proudly host the Art Exhibition, showcasing the talents of artists from along the length of the Great Barrier Reef. This curated exhibition provides a platform for creatives to display their work, reflecting the beauty and diversity of the Great Barrier Reef and our community.​

WHO’S WHO IN THE GALLERY | Barry Smith

Barry Smith is showcasing a range of beautifully carved timber sculptures at the Community Gallery, bringing the natural character and beauty of timber to life through his work.

Barry was a finalist in both the 2025 and 2026 Great Barrier Reef Festival Art Exhibition, recognising his place among the region’s talented artists.

His sculptures are now on display alongside work by more than 27 local artists, with plenty to explore across painting, photography, sculpture and handcrafted creations.

WHO’S WHO IN THE GALLERY | Robyn Goller

Robyn Goller has introduced something quite different to the Community Gallery with her wildlife paintings on small timber palettes.

Using the natural shape and character of each timber palette as part of the artwork, Robyn brings Australian wildlife to life in a way that is both creative and unexpected.

Her small-scale works are now on display at the Community Gallery, 192 Main Street, Proserpine, alongside work by more than 27 local artists.
