How exciting to see the Crystal Brook Mural coming to life!

Artist Jimmy Dodd and his team have been on site since Saturday painting this beautiful mural on the wall of the Reflections building. This project was funded through the Federal Government's Drought Communities Programme and involved extensive community consultation to create a design that would reflect the history and values of Crystal Brook and the Nukunu people.

Jimmy Dodd has been supported by Nukunu artist Jessica Turner and local artists Kylie Coomblas (Port Pirie), Jess Crawford (Crystal Brook) and Hugh Avey (Melrose). This amazing opportunity will build our local artist capacity and create a stunning local and tourism attraction.

The mural is scheduled to be completed in the coming days - we can't wait to bring you the end result!

Thanks to everyone who contributed to our second round of consultation for the Crystal Brook Mural project!

We had nearly 300 responses over several platforms providing feedback on the proposed designs. Your passion and interest is very much appreciated.

Council and the artist will now review the feedback.

One final round of public consultation will be ready within the next 1-2 weeks. Stay tuned for further updates!
