Esse mês eu tive a chance de representar a nossa escolinha de português na Conferência de Escolas de Línguas Comunitárias em Sydney. Foi incrível conhecer tantos outros professores e aprender novas estratégias para manter as crianças engajadas e curtindo o aprendizado da nossa língua e cultura. Mal posso esperar para compartilhar com a criançada em sala de aula o que aprendi na conferência!👏🇧🇷📚🫶This month our Portuguese School was represented at the Community Languages School Conference in Sydney. It was amazing to meet so many other teachers in one space and learn new strategies to keep the children engaged and enjoying learning about our language and culture. I can wait to share all I have learnt with our children in the classroom!👏👏🇧🇷📚

Em nosso encontro dia 26/07/26, tivemos a alegria de celebrar o Dia dos Avós em uma manhã especial! As crianças e as famílias participaram de uma leitura, música e atividade criativa, preparando cartinhas e homenagens para aqueles que ocupam um lugar tão especial em suas vidas.
Juntos, seguimos fortalecendo nossa língua, nossa cultura e os laços que unem a comunidade brasileira, um encontro de cada vez. 💙🦜🇧🇷

At our most recent gathering, we had the joy of celebrating Grandparents’ Day with a special morning. The children and family’s enjoyed storytelling, music, and creative activities, making heartfelt cards and tributes for the grandparents who hold such a special place in their lives.

Together, we continue to strengthen our language, our culture, and the bonds that connect our community. 💙🦜🇧🇷

On Sunday, June 21st we will be hosting our Festa Junina and celebrating Araras’ 2nd anniversary!

There will be games, fun activities, a caipira (countryside) costume contest, prizes, plenty of traditional Brazilian food, a quadrilha folk dance, and lots of music and dancing for family and friends.
