Hasting Sing Australia presented two of their members with Certificates of Appreciation for their contributions to the group. Anne Fuller and Margaret Richardson are two dedicated members who, each week, show up and give 100% to everything they do.

Member Spotlight - Christine Lucas

How long have you been singing with Sing Australia, and what section do you sing in?
Since July 2023 - So almost 3 years

What do you enjoy most about being part of this choir?
The new friends I’ve made, plus singing the “old” songs we don’t hear much anymore

Do you have a favourite song or performance you’ve sung with the choir?
Singing at aged care places, it puts a smile on their faces and the join in singing because the know the songs

Is there a song (not currently in our repertoire) you’d love for the choir to sing one day?
I don’t think so

Do you listen to music outside choir — what’s usually on your playlist?
My car radio is always on and I listen to Classic FM

What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?
I’ve been involved in some sort of music making since I was 8 years old

What’s your warm-up ritual?
I don’t have one

If you could sing a duet with anyone, living or dead, who would it be?
Cliff Richard

If you could sing anywhere in the world, where would you go?
The Royal Albert Hall, London

What would you say to someone thinking about joining Sing Australia?
It has been amazing for me - it will be good for them
