So today I read that my hobby of using epoxy resin, can be dangerous for my transplanted kidney, even though I use full PPE.
It can affect my antirejection drug's and cause dangerous rashes, breathing issues, infections & allergies that I no longer have a immune system to fight.

When I reach the 6 month mark, I can start to make things with resin again. I will be getting a better face mask before I restart. 16 weeks away.
So for now, it's polymer clay work, beading, painting & mosaicing. I need to check UV resin use as well.
So for now, when I am well enough to do monthly markets again I will selling as much of my resin stuff as I can so when I restart I will have new stock.
A bit sad about that, but Keef my kidney is extremely important and I won't risk my health.

Super sorry for being absent for so long.
Had a life changing couple of months.
After 3 years and 3 months on hemodialysis 3 times a week, for 4 hours dialysis and extra hour to get on and off the machine.....

I GOT A KIDNEY TRANSPLANT.

Been 2 months in and out of hospital, 5 blood transfusions, blood tests daily and 2 separate lots of surgery.

Blessed for the gift of life I received 🙏

Glad to be home, & healing.

I will get back to my arty stuff when I have more energy.

The smallest sand garnet I could find - set it in the claws of a deceased butterfly I found a few years back - this has to be one of my most epic shots. The sand garnet is under 0.15mm wide and of course from near Bandon, Oregon. Who’s a fan?!
