🎶💔 Yesterday, we said goodbye to our beloved choir member, Rex. The Pingelly Community Choir showed incredible strength as they performed some of his favourite songs at the service. I am deeply proud of each one of them for singing so beautifully and with such LOVE. A heartfelt thank you to Margie and Jan for inviting us to be part of Rex's celebration of life.

Rex’s passion for music and community shone brightly in every rehearsal, every performance, and every shared moment. He rarely missed a choir night — not even Covid, a few falls, or a heart attack could keep Rex from singing. His unwavering dedication, warm spirit, and boundless enthusiasm made him a truly cherished member of our choir family.

We will miss his presence deeply — the joy he brought, the extra long notes, being too stubborn to sit in a chair and the kindness he shared so freely.

His last words to me were "bye love, look after your family".... will do.

Rest in peace, dear Rex, I'm sure you and Jan are rocking a duet somewhere special 🎶🌻

Members of the choir sang beautifully at the Pingelly Community Connections Morning Tea yesterday! It was glorious weather and we were absolutely spoilt with the yummy spread catered by the Pingelly Primary P&C. Thank you for inviting us to perform Rheannon Turton and Pingelly Community Resource Centre. We 🫶🏻 Community and yesterday was a lovely demonstration of us all coming together for a special occasion.

Always a proud moment performing for Pingellys ANZAC day ceremony. What an amazing turn out today, watching our locals in uniform, including many choir members, marching in the parade is always moving, what a community! So thankful to have the talented Doug Goldsmith support us on guitar for the National Anthem, I Am Australian and Waltzing Matilda.
Well done Pingelly RSL.

Lest We Forget.

Last night members of the community choir hit the road to Narrogin. “If Rex can’t come to us, then we will just have to go to him”. We performed a beautiful set with Rex for the residents and staff at Dillons, an emotional and memorable show for all.
Rex has been such an important fixture of our group, having him amongst us again last night he looked at home. We’ve been informed by the residence he is still singing today. We love you Rex. Thanks for having us Residency by Dillons, Narrogin. 🎶

What a year!! We’ve had an amazing 2024 spreading our love of singing with our community and beyond! We have opened our beautiful Community Garden, performed at the Cuby Groove Fest, Beverley Choir Muster and the Pingelly Fam fest. We had fun at my 40th wearing festival attire and being strongly encouraged by my mum 🫣.
More recently, the festive season had us at our Party on the Oval and last week the combined churches Carols in the Park.
Last Wednesday we had our annual Xmas Karaoke wind up which brings so much love and laughter and gave us a moment to reflect on the loss of our much missed Jan. The choirs strength and commitment to perform so honourably for her funeral is something I will never forget and something so many have shown so much gratitude for. Thank you.🎶🌻

So from all of the members of the Pingelly Community Choir we wish everyone a safe, happy and of course musical Christmas and we can’t wait to see you all in 2025! I have no doubt it will be another big one for our wonderful choir family!

We start up again Tuesday 7th January! New members always welcome! 🎶🫶🏻

We had a blast performing at Party On The Oval last night! And wow what an amazing display of fireworks! Pingelly knows how to put on a good show and the community was in joyful spirits!

You can catch our last performance for 2024 this Sunday at the Carols in Memorial Park from 6:30pm.
Bring a picnic and a rug and join in the festive spirit!

Today we said our final goodbye to our songbird Jan. The celebration was true definition of community spirit, rallying to give her the send off she so very deserved. Thank you to everyone who made today such a success and a truly beautiful day. 🌻🎶

Christmas spirit has hit!! Being a busy time of the year for all we were smaller in numbers but we were still big in voice and heart as we performed at our local Pingelly Recreation & Cultural Centre - PRACC for their Christmas Party!! Santa made a special appearance but still hasn’t confirmed which list I’m on! 🫣🎅 🎄
