Side A - Soapbox

Keeping an opinion to yourself and minding your own business can bring quiet in apathy. It’s a double edged sword however as silence doesn’t bring change. There comes a decision point as to what you are willing to sacrifice, to the actual worth on a grander scale of what that sacrifice will mean. These days I’m on the sideline just watching the world burn like a motherf**ker. I got off my soapbox before my true self imploded.

Side B - Make Things Right

Sometimes no matter how hard you try, it will never be enough in your own mind, and as time moves on you either die trying or you let go. This song lives in a dark place, but it does balance out with acceptance of how perceptions and expectations affect your spirit and mind. It’s a conversation with the universe while resisting the need to find answers from a higher power, which inevitably keeps me wandering the perimeters of a decaying version of Eden that I abandoned long ago and one I could not return to even if it did still exist. In the end, all we wanted was some fun.

These two songs were recorded as part of grander project but time changes perspectives. Waiting things out can be a good strategy. Thanks to those who work with me and understand my ways, special thanks to Christine Bauer for helping me get to the finish line on Soapbox.

King Valley will always feel special to me, and coming back to Gracebrook Vineyard to share music again was fun. Some wonderful memories were made here over the years, so bringing our music back — and seeing Maya, Lilah and Ada perform so beautifully — made the day even more special ⭐️ Good way to finish off the busy weekend with a dip in the pool!

Good day at Snobs Creek Hatchery? Do fish swim?! We had an awesome day! Even though the rain was coming down, there was lots of people enjoying all things fishing as well as enjoying the tunes from Clayton and Ashleigh.
