*Chalk Painting Workshop* next Saturday 30 April, 1 - 4 pm in Stirling. Learn how to:
* make your own furniture paint
* prep furniture pieces prior to painting
* various painting and distressing techniques
* tell what can and can't be painted
* seal your finished piece

The workshops are very hands-on so bring your own small piece to work on and take it home completed at the end of the 3 hour session, or I can provide sample pieces for you to practise on.

Please let me know if you would be interested in attending or like my page if you think any of your friends might be.

Cost is $150 each. Numbers are limited to 4 participants.

Hi everyone, I'm thinking of holding furniture painting workshops at home (Stirling, WA) covering topics such as:
* making your own furniture paint
* prepping furniture pieces prior to painting
* various painting and distressing techniques
* learning what can and can't be painted
* how to seal your finished piece

The classes would be very hands-on so you would be able to work on your own small piece and take it home at the end of the 3 hour session, or I can provide sample pieces for you to practise on.
Please let me know if you would be interested in attending or like my page if you think any of your friends might be.

I've been wanting to paint these drawers for ages. My first time using a spray gun and I'm hooked. So much faster and easier. I'm looking forward to many more projects now that the weather is beginning to warm up ☺ Julie

Student desk upcycled and ready for my craft room. I'm one drawer pull short, will have to source another one tomorrow. This time I decided to give Websters chalk paint powder a go and mixed it with sample pots of white. Drawers are lined with gift wrap. I purchased the stencil from Spotlight and modified the design to fit the drawer fronts.

Upside was that because of the latex in the sample pots it didn't require much wax to finish off. The downside was that it was quite difficult to sand .... not as chalky as AS. But i'm really happy with the finished product :)

I would love to keep this buffet and hutch for myself but my house is bursting at the seams already. Can you believe I bought this on Gumtree for $100 ...... OK I guess it took a lot of imagination to see its potential.

Before and after - French style bedside tables. What a job this was removing the gloss paint from 2 of the drawers painted by the previous owner. All the 80's inspired apricot colour has been replaced with this stunning turquoise.
