This year, we’re bringing our community together — across generations — to share a tradition, learn from one another and set an intention for the year ahead.

Come with your parents, your children, your grandparents, your friends — or simply come as you are. 🤍

Together, we’ll mix, knead and braid challah, take a moment to reflect, and celebrate the beginning of a new year surrounded by community.

Celebrate the spirit of Rosh Hashanah at our annual Community Challah Bake. 💛

Join women, families and friends from across the Perth Jewish community for a meaningful afternoon of connection, tradition and inspiration.

Following the success of last year’s event, we’re once again gathering straight after school, creating a warm and truly intergenerational atmosphere as we prepare for the New Year together.

Prepare your own challah dough from scratch, enjoy words of inspiration from our community rebbetzins, and connect with old friends while making new ones.

Take your prepared dough home to bake and enjoy for Shabbat and Rosh Hashanah.

Honouring our history. Celebrating our legacy. 💙

If you’ve visited JHub recently, you may have noticed two new heritage display boards installed at our entrances.

One honours William Cooper Plaza, recognising the courageous stand taken by William Cooper and the Australian Aboriginal League in 1938, when they protested the persecution of Jewish people by N**i Germany. It stands as a lasting reminder of solidarity, courage and shared humanity.

The second commemorates the Original Donors of the Jewish Centre of WA, acknowledging the individuals and families whose generosity helped establish the original Jewish Centre and laid the foundations for the thriving community we enjoy today.

These displays celebrate the people, stories and values that continue to shape JHub.

Next time you’re visiting, take a moment to stop, read and reflect.

JHub is proud to now feature a new interactive kiosk in our foyer from the Australian Jewish Servicemen & Women in the Defence Forces.

Made possible through software provided by the Australian Genealogical Society via a grant, this installation allows visitors to explore and search records of local Jewish Australians who have served in the Defence Forces — preserving and sharing their stories of service and contribution.

We invite all visitors to JHub to take a moment to explore and connect with this meaningful part of our community history. 💛
