What an amazing celebration we had last Saturday, right? We hope we have made you all celebrate and feel a piece of home here in Perth.
With a new location, we had to adapt to accommodate everyone’s needs. To be able to create a massive event, we need a massive effort. First, I need to thank you Bamboo Productions for all the effort, long days and nights of meetings, emails, discussion, analyses, quotations, calls to make all the changes that we had to make, and much more.
To FYME, our major sponsor, that came alongside us to bring one of the most beautiful parties that we had in years.
To BM Accounting & Tax Solutions, for believing in the project and helping us to put the Brazilian community always in touch with the culture.
To Chilli Beans, that since the beginning of their arrival in Perth, are always supporting our community.
To API, for coming together to provide support in our celebration.
To Rosi, that even though she says is a team effort, she is the mind behind all the beauty you all saw in the event. She can make anything look stunning and right on point, always.
For our massive team of volunteers, we are so grateful for all the efforts you all made. The party was beautiful because of your hard work.
For the first session, the kids party, we had Magic Fun bringing our traditional games to our next generation. Making them feel like we felt back in our times.
na Australia with Renatinha, making everyone sing and dance, even the adults.
Livros for Kids, that has been always supporting everything that involves Brazilian culture.
Projeto Cabana, the we proudly support with their beautiful project. Which also, we need to thank the community for the donation made in the event.
Talking about Festa Junina, we need to talk about food. Brigadeiroo made a special menu full of traditions, Churros with the best sweet ever from their traditional churros to the mousse huuuuum. For savoury, Sampas Pastel as always, bringing the best pastry and flavour to our event, and Oli’s Catering that took on the challenge and got us the espetinho (meat skewer) and for the first time Brazilian soup (caldinho de feijão e caldo verde). Thank you all for the effort.
A good party need good music. Trio Evidencias and band, as always, bringing the anthem to make everyone sing, I mean, EVERYONE. To What The Drums, that made a special set of traditional music just for the festival and alongside Juliana Areias makes us feel like we were at home. And what can I say about Juliana Areias? No words can describe how happy we are to be able to have one of the founders of BrazilWA on stage singing with that voice. OMG what a voice.
A massive thank you to Sara from Perth Forró / Perth Samba who is not a Brazilian on paper but always supporting our culture through her Forró dance classes.
We could be all day here saying thank you to each and one of you that made this event happen. We all have a piece on this project, and we are forever grateful.
BrazilWA work is a challenge, and we need people to help. If you would like to join us, hit us a message and let’s make much more things for the community. Together, we can. Alone, cannot.
