Had a great day celebrating this year's Australian day event with the locals from York. The theme for this year was RESPECT REFLECT CELEBRATE. It was a good turn out with locals participating in art workshops, elders storytelling session and a beautiful kangaroo and damper lunch. Here is some pics of a community painting that symbolised this year's event.

Had a great session yesterday facilitating an Aboriginal art workshop for the staff members at John Butler Primary College as part of their professional development day. The workshop was based around the Noongar Six Seasons Birak, Bunuru, Djeran, Makuru, Djilba and Kambarang.
