What’s a massive amphibious vehicle got to do with the most used oil paint?
I had no idea that the bright, opaque white I reach for in almost every painting comes from something so raw and coastal. It makes me look at my palette a bit differently — not just as colour, but as material with a whole journey behind it.
Makes me appreciate it a bit more… knowing where it actually begins... and that really, I’m always painting the beach.
