"Living in fear from bloodshed wars and chaotic laws, my parents decided to call it quits and make their withdrawals. Although the departure endured many applause, for my parents, they didn't want their inevitable "awws". They were far more concerned about the feeling of not conforming. And the thought of this country being not as quite heart-warming.

As they entered the horizon of this newly conceived landform, they already imagined the new journey that'd help them transform. My parents were believers of hope and change; they only wanted the best for me even if at first it felt strange.

And here we are - 11 years on, this country is now our home and our new life is a happiness filled marathon!" - Lavin Ibrahim
