King Hamlet is dead. Claudius is King. Hamlet is for the first time meeting themselves, like a reflection in the dark undercurrent of a river. There’s a white light in the forest, a voice on the wind, bloody knuckles dripping onto the tile floor of the court. Sounds in the walls like a clock or a heartbeat. Men behind the curtains. The smell of time rotting, the taste of thought decaying. Triplets and twins like funhouse mirrors. Here at the end of all things. The sun is setting. The river is swelling. Your father won’t die.

❤️‍🔥

MUSC’s 2022 Semester 1 production is HAML3T. Stay tuned for more details.

MUSC End of Semester Wrap 🎭

We hope everyone is doing well during this busy exam period. Here is a little update from the MUSC Team…

UHT Awards Night:
The Union House Theatre awards night were held on Thursday and we are proud to bring not one but TWO amazing awards home! The first was the ‘Ensemble Award’ won by our incredible ’Titus Andronicus’ team. A huge congratulations to everyone involved. The second was the ‘Emerging Artist Award’ which went our amazing costume designer and production team extraordinaire Eden McLean. The award recognised all the wonderful work Eden has done for both MUSC and other student theatre groups. Well done Eden McLean ✨

Titus Andronicus Update:
Last week we had an open rehearsal/showcase of ’Titus Andronicus’ for our cast and crew’s family and friends. The Zoom was recorded and we are currently working on editing the piece into a film that we can present for the wider MUSC and student theatre community. Watch this space!

MUSC’s Artistic & Development Team 2022:

That is not what being part of MUSC is about which is why we are proud of announce that in 2022 we will be creating a dedicated ‘Artistic & Development Team’ that will oversee the company. Lots of exciting roles are available including; Artistic Director, Company Manager, Media & Communications Coordinator, Treasurer and Access Officer. MUSC Semester Two / ‘Titus Andronicus’ Production Update…

It is with a heavy heart that we have had to cancel our live production of ‘Titus Andronicus’ which was set to run at the Guild Theatre from the 7th - 9th of October.

We are currently in the process of exploring different ideas and pathways to showcase what we have created for this production.

A big thank you to our incredible cast and crew who have been working hard behind the scenes to still create something for the student theatre community and wider audiences this year.

Enjoy some fantastic images of them rehearsing at home for ‘Titus’ and enjoying other lockdown activities 🥰

Stay up to date with MUSC on Instagram and Facebook for further announcements regarding our ‘Titus Andronicus’ production.

Sending lots of love to our MUSC community and stay safe ❤️
