In our reimagined Jesus Christ Superstar, Mary begins her story behind the counter, a waitress working in the world of Hollywood, serving the stars while dreaming of becoming one herself.

Then comes her screen test. And across the room is the actor at the centre of the story.

She sees something in him.
Something the cameras can't capture.
Something the headlines don't understand.

What begins as a screen test becomes something far more complicated admiration, attraction, ambition and love collide as Mary finds herself falling for the man everyone else is watching.

AUDITIONS: Broadway – Hidden Gems 🎭✨

Upstage Theatre Company is calling all singers for our annual Broadway Series Cabaret, Broadway: Hidden Gems - a celebration of musical theatre's most overlooked treasures, from cult favourites to scores that never got their moment in the spotlight.

Rather than auditioning for a fixed role, you'll be cast across the show based on your voice, versatility and storytelling, with solos, duets and ensemble harmony work throughout.
