Recently hit 100 days of being a teacher!
What a ride it’s been. I can honestly say I’m loving every minute of it.
I finally feel like I’m settling in, finding my feet and working out what works best for me and my students. There have been plenty of challenges along the way, but there have been so many moments that remind me why I chose this path. Seeing students surprise themselves with what they’re capable of in the art room has been one of the biggest highlights.
I’ve also loved saying yes to opportunities outside my classroom. So far I’ve been able to work with the Junior Student Leadership Team, help with a school fundraiser and now I’m planning a mural project, which I’m really excited about.
Life is definitely full at the moment, juggling teaching, my Master’s and Women of the Murray Ltd ® … and this week three new uni units begin 😅 Wish me luck!
Looking back, I genuinely feel so grateful that life led me here. Changing careers was a huge leap, but it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
