This eight-hour, two-day course run by Linda Nicholls-Gidley and Simon Masterton, accent teachers at NIDA and WAAPA, is for motivated actors looking for a structure and a consistent process for learning new accents.

With a tailored blend of discussion, exercises, and context-building, you'll walk away with an understanding of the muscles that shape speech, the building blocks of accent, and the tools you need to be your own coach.

The toolkit is a great intro to the KTS approach, with reference to a range of common accents but a focus on skills. It points the way to how to teach yourself accents, and can be a foundation for future courses on specific accents, or our longer, more in-depth courses: Experiencing Speech, Phonetics, and Accents.
