Two categories. Two Gold Medals. ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†

Weโ€™re incredibly proud to share that weโ€™ve been awarded Gold Medals in both Sacred A Ca****la and Contemporary at the World Choir Games!

A huge thank you to our conductor Benjamin Lambert, our amazing singers, and everyone who has supported us along the way.

We came here to make music, share the experience and give it everything, and weโ€™re heading home with two Gold Medals! ๐ŸŽถโค๏ธ

๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ช World Choir Games โ€” Competition Days! ๐ŸŽถ

The past two days have been full of music, nerves, excitement and some very special performances as we took to the stage for our Champions Competition categories: Sacred A Ca****la and Contemporary, as well as performing in a wonderful Friendship Concert.

We have sung our hearts out and left everything on the stage. It has been an absolute joy to perform alongside some incredible choirs from around the world and to experience the incredible atmosphere of the World Choir Games.

One of the real highlights for us was the opportunity to perform and premiere an original composition by our conductor, Benjamin Lambert. Ben, we hope we did you proud! It has been such a privilege to bring your music to life on this international stage.

Now, all we can do is wait for the results. Whatever happens, we are incredibly proud of what we have achieved, the music we have made together and the journey that has brought us here.

Stay tuned for the results ๐ŸŽถ

What an incredible way to finish our first full day in Helsingborg!

After a day of rehearsals and stage setting, we joined choirs from around the world for the Parade of Nations โ€” a wonderful celebration of music, friendship, and cultures coming together.

Walking alongside so many amazing choirs from different countries was such a special experience. There was an incredible atmosphere as we made our way through Helsingborg, proudly representing Newcastle and Australia.

Weโ€™re here at the World Choir Games, and itโ€™s starting to feel very real! Weโ€™re excited, a little nervous, and very proud to be part of this incredible international choral community.
Let the Games begin! ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ช

๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ช Days Four & Five โ€” Denmark to Sweden! ๐ŸŽถ

Our stories may be a little behind our posts, but thereโ€™s been plenty happening!

Day Four saw us say farvel to Denmark and hej hej to Helsingborg, Sweden! ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ช

On our way, we stopped at the magnificent Kronborg Castle, famously known as Hamletโ€™s castle. A few of our choristers were certainly inspired by the history and atmosphere of this incredible place!

From there, it was onto the ferry across to Helsingborg, where we officially began the next chapter of our adventure โ€” the World Choir Games.

Day Five was all about getting ready for the Games, with rehearsals, stage setting and plenty of preparation for the days ahead.
Itโ€™s been an exciting couple of days, and weโ€™re settling into Helsingborg and getting ready for the competition ahead. ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ช

๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฐ Day Three โ€“ Part Two! ๐ŸŽถ
After a wonderful morning at Frederiksborg Castle, we headed back into Copenhagen to perform at Trinitatis Kirke โ€” another truly beautiful and wonderfully resonant space to sing in.

We feel incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to share our music in such magnificent places. The Kirke was full, and we were so grateful to receive a five-minute standing ovation at the end of our performance. It was a very special moment for us.

It was also wonderful to meet so many more people and to see some familiar faces from our performance at St Albans. Weโ€™re so grateful for the warm welcome weโ€™ve received throughout Copenhagen.

A huge thank you to Michael, Sรธren Christian and everyone at Trinitatis Kirke for their wonderful support and hospitality. And a very special thank you to Sรธren Christian for joining us on the organ for Christus est Stella.

One of the great joys of this tour has been the opportunity to make music spontaneously with such wonderful musicians. We feel incredibly fortunate to meet people who are willing to jump in, collaborate and create something special with us

What a big day of singing, and what a privilege it is to share our music with Denmark! ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฐ

Day three took us to the magnificent Frederiksborg Castle, where we had the incredible opportunity to sing in one of the most beautiful and resonant spaces weโ€™ve experienced on our tour so far. What an atmosphere!

A huge thank you to Ulla for supporting us and for giving us an amazing private tour of the Compenius Organ, built in 1610. It was a privilege to see such an extraordinary piece of musical history up close. The organ remains in its original state and is the only original Compenius organ in the world. An absolutely remarkable instrument!

Even more special, some of our choristers had the chance to help work the bellows, experiencing first-hand how this incredible historic instrument is powered. What a unique experience!

We feel very lucky to have experienced this special place and to have shared our music within its walls.

And that was only Part One of a very big dayโ€ฆ
More to come in Part Two! ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฐ

What a wonderful afternoon at the beautiful St Albans Church, Copenhagen, where we had the pleasure of performing to a full house.

It was such a joy for our choir to share our music with the Copenhagen community, and even more special to meet so many wonderful people afterwards.

A huge thank you to David Allen and the St Albans team for their incredible support and hospitality. And a particular thank you to David for joining us on the organ for Christus est Stella. It was a very special moment for us!

Weโ€™ve still got more singing, more exploring and more wonderful Danish audiences ahead before we make our way to World Choir Games.

What a journey itโ€™s already beenโ€ฆ and weโ€™re only on Day Two!

๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฐ Our Denmark tour begins! ๐ŸŽถ
We were thrilled to begin our Denmark leg of the tour with a very special private performance and reception at the residence of the Australian Ambassador to Denmark, Norway and Iceland, His Excellency Dave Vosen, in Copenhagen.

It was a wonderful privilege to share our music with the Ambassador and his distinguished guests, and a truly memorable way to begin our tour.

We also had the pleasure of meeting Quinn, the Ambassadorโ€™s gorgeous dog, who makes an appearance in some of our photos

A thank you to the Ambassador and his wonderful staff for welcoming us so warmly, hosting us at the Residence, and for their generous wishes and support as we head into the World Choir Games.

Stay tuned for more updates from our tour! ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ช๐ŸŽถ
