September 4 has given us some seriously memorable moments in music.

• 1954 — Elvis Presley Makes his Grand Ole Opry debut. The crowd wasn't impressed, but Elvis kept going.
• 1962 — The Beatles Record “Love Me Do” at Abbey Road. It was Ringo Starr's first session with the band.
• 1965 — The Beatles “Help!” reaches No. 1 in the US.
• 1967 — The Doors Release “People Are Strange,” one of their most recognisable songs.
• 1971 — Paul McCartney Scores his first US No. 1 as a solo artist with “Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey.”
• 1976 — Bee Gees “You Should Be Dancing” hits No. 1 during their rise as disco stars.
• 1982 — Steve Miller Band “Abracadabra” reaches No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

• 1986 — Kylie Minogue releases Kylie
Her debut album helps launch her international music career.
• 2009 — Oasis disbands
Noel Gallagher leaves the band, bringing Oasis' journey to an end.
