Had to share this gorgeous Vintage Stars Quilt - pattern by everyday_quilts and available in the shop.

This quilt was made by one of our favourite regulars and is such a gentle, original take on this much loved pattern by Sandra Boyle. It’s subtle and completely gorgeous and I thought you might like to see its beauty too.

Over the last four and a half years I have gone from a small idea I thought I would run from our study to a little retail shop, to a gorgeous (and huge) retail space with a wonderful workshop area. We have filled over 14,000 online orders and helped customers from Newcastle, around Australia and across the Globe. We have also developed a fun workshop schedule with a variety of classes taught by myself and Lucy and visiting creatives from interstate and overseas.

So that we can best meet your needs going forward, can you please send any requests regarding orders or products to our email or ring the shop. We want to make sure our team can best meet your needs and try to ensure things don’t slip through the cracks. Of course I still love engaging with this beautiful community so don’t hesitate to send photos of your work or messages.

In addition I’m going to be out of office for a week or so, the team would love to help you whilst I’m hoping to check out for a little bit.

Lots of gorgeous new (and a few restocked) Japanese fabrics are online now. We might have to do a bit of a reshuffle in the shop to house all this beauty but these fabrics are definitely worth it!

Japanese lawns, 30s prints, linen cotton blends and of course cotton sheeting can all be found under new products on our website.

The new additions continue - sorry not sorry!

We have some lovely new prints from Andover Fabrics and Riley Blake that have just joined our curation. They include shirtings from Max and Louise (the bunnies!!) a fantastic ledger print from Alison Glass (perfect in all scrappy quilts) and of course some beautiful florals

We also have some gorgeous new threads for slow stitching, or quilting, from Valdani and new Sashiko colours from Cosmo. The Valdani sparkle is subtle and utterly fabulous - I’m loving using them in my latest slow stitching project.

If you caught my stories last night, you may have seen I had a mega delivery of new fabrics!

Today we have uploaded new Ruby Star Society prints from the Persimmon and Merry Happy ranges as well as lots of Japanese ginghams and spots. We have a restock of the Happy Sweet Collection, Kei spots, the gorgeous dusty coloured 1/4” and 1/8” Japanese yarn dyed ginghams as well as a gorgeous larger hot pink and golden yarn dyed ginghams.

There is a lot more fabric to load online but it’s all available to see in store if you just can’t wait. Promise we are working as quickly as we can.

I originally made this version of my Summertime Dilly Bag for the Liberty events back in Feb but am so pleased we were able to make some more kits for these!

The kits include a beautiful bespoke Liberty Betsy Tana Lawn as well as other gorgeous Liberty prints combined with other prints to achieve a really similar result to the bag shown. We even have the same lining and base fabric in these kits!
