“DESIBEL” is the world’s largest mobile Horn Loudspeaker System...Three horns were built. Each is 10 meters long. They reproduce frequencies between 15Hz and 15KHz, reaching 130dB (measured @ 10m meters distance). They are 3.6m high and each weighs 2 tonnes....Commissioned by Vevringutstillinga in 2009 for their 30 years anniversary (Arts Festival in Norway). At its first performance, the loudspeaker horn pointed towards the mountains from the edge of a fjord purportedly triggering several avalanches. Tidy work Norway!
