Nicole Voevodin-Cash, a Queensland-based artist known as [ ], explores the textures of different places through the lens of a LANDscanner while on her walks. This digital frottage technique, akin to cameraless photography, reveals the often overlooked beauty of the world. From small, seemingly insignificant details in gardens, forest floors, walls, architecture, to road markings, her work captures the essence of ordinary moments. The magnified, exposed images result from a serendipitous yet intentional process, creating poetic, delicate, and intriguing visual narratives each day, leaving the viewer in anticipation of the unseen.
