A huge thank you to Mid-Western Regional Council Library and The Book Nest Mudgee or everything they do to support the Mudgee Readers’ Festival!
So much of what makes a festival work happens quietly behind the scenes. The little jobs, the extra hours, the setting up and packing down, the answering of questions, the moving of chairs, the selling of books, the (countless) emails and all the things that most people never see ...
Last year, more than 1,000 people came through the library and attended festival events, and that simply wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our local library team.
And The Book Nest goes above and beyond every year, opening additional hours across the festival weekend and setting up a mobile bookstore so our authors’ books are right there for readers to discover and take home.
These two organisations play a pivotal role in keeping the festival alive, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything they do — both the big things and all those little jobs that make the whole thing possible.
