Big respect to Victor Griss, leading Counihan Gallery for the last ten years! What an amazing legacy he leaves behind. Good luck with your next big thing Victor.
After a decade of service to the Counihan Gallery and the Merri-bek community, Gallery Curator Victor Griss bids farewell.
Since 2013, Victor has overseen the delivery of over 100 exhibitions; he has developed the Merri-bek Art Collection by more than 100 artworks; but most importantly, Victor's ongoing care and advocacy for artists form an important legacy for the Counihan Gallery.
Victor's warmth, creativity and humour will be sorely missed.
There's more to say for the last 10 years than can be summarised here, and so we invite you to an afternoon tea on Saturday 5 August, 2pm, as an informal celebration of our new exhibition Manifesto, and to farewell Victor Griss on his last day at the Counihan Gallery.
