This slide from 1961 was meant to be the opening image of the 2nd set on Saturday night. As is the way of things, the projector had other plans and preferred the 3rd slide as its starting point. Still, the (standing-room only) audience loved the North Carlton set, enhanced immeasurably by the talents of Simon Bailey on guitar. Afterwards, Simon treated us to a "forced encore" (his words), a stunning rendition of Sandy Denny's "Who Knows Where The Time Goes", which could easily be the theme of the whole evening, and saw more than a few people leaving the Music Hall with something in their eye. What absolute gifts that song, and that moment were.
NEXT SHOW - THIS SATURDAY 30 MAY
Seating at this great little venue is strictly limited and tickets are already close to sold out for the next show, featuring Alice Garner on cello.
We'll release standing room tickets if there's demand but you really will want to get comfy and let yourself escape into the images and the music, so we suggest you book soon if you want a seat.
