Only nine more days until FUSE Autumn 2022 kicks off. FUSE is the City of Darebin's contemporary, multi-arts festival, and the dynamic program is now online at www.fusedarebin.com.au.

On 11 March, FUSE kicks off with the Molly Hadfield Social Justice Oration and Opening Party. Held annually, the Oration celebrates the work of local social justice advocate, Molly Hadfield OAM. At the Darebin Arts Centre, the night features our very special guest: author, advocate and broadcaster Yumi Stynes, who will deliver an opening keynote speech celebrating International Women's Day.

Afterwards, join us for the official FUSE Autumn 2022 Opening Party, held in the Centre's courtyard. Curated by Queen Acknowledgements, aka Nartarsha Bamblett, the night features powerful and moving performances from local multicultural and multidisciplinary artists, celebrating shared resilience and a commitment to justice for all.

The event is free, but you'll need to register, so don't delay: book today!

Darebin's FUSE Festival is back: bigger and stronger than ever in Autumn 2022. The festival runs from 11-27 March, and events will be held in Preston, Northcote and Thornbury, as well as the iconic suburb of Reservoir, which hosts the innovative exhibition, Made in Rezza, with exclusive artworks displayed in local shopfronts. Reservoir is also the spot for FUSE's closing event, Out of the Park Picnic, a free outdoor concert held in Edwardes Lake Park.

The Opening Event at Darebin Arts Centre features writer and educator Yumi Stynes, who will commemorate local activist Molly Hadfield as well as International Women’s Day 2022. Later that night, there's an exciting line-up of musicians, DJs and performers for the official opening party.

Other highlights include four FUSE Fund events, with commissioned artists and performers designing and producing their own events; and [email protected], the open-access version of the festival.

Are you ready to light the FUSE? Check out the program today: fusedarebin.com.au. #FUSEdarebin

So unbelievably proud of the ARCHIMEDES WAR team, who end their season tonight will a sold-out final performance!

This brilliant group of people have perservered through six lockdowns to finally present their show to packed audiences at Northcote Town Hall Arts Centre, to glowing reviews:

"Director Susie Dee draws out talented performances from the cast, and for all its unsettling humour, Reeves’ game-like script lays siege to a pedagogic purpose... It’s a lucid, unsettling exploration of contemporary war."
- THE AGE

"The success of these actors comes as much from the incredible direction of Susie Dee as it does from their own talents. Dee leaves no space unused, nor time wasted."
- THEATRE TRAVELS

"It is beautifully structured, thoughtful, cunning in the way it puts its issues before us, engaging and amusing.... Here, casting is spot-on... transitions are seamless, and the pace is finely judged.
- STAGE WHISPERS

Full house tonight, but try your luck on the door!

ARCHIMEDES WAR has opened at Northcote Town Hall!

"Director Susie Dee draws out talented performances from the cast, and for all its unsettling humour, Reeves’ game-like script lays siege to a pedagogic purpose.

It’s a lucid, unsettling exploration of contemporary war through a likeable teen protagonist, and you can imagine school students being especially stimulated by it." (The Age)
