Hey team,

I’m so excited to share some massive news — ‘What Do We Tell The Kids’ has been selected as a finalist in the 2025 Environmental Music Prize.

This song has always been more than a release for me. It grew from our time in remote Indigenous communities, from conversations with young people who are inheriting the world we’re shaping right now, and from the deep responsibility I feel as I enter the parenthood journey.

Being shortlisted for this prize means that message resonated — and now we have a chance to amplify it on a national and global stage.

This team brought the song to life — from the stunning orchestral arrangement with the Queensland Youth Orchestra, to the production, mixing, filming, story-building, and emotional labour behind it. The song exists because of all of you.

And now, together, we have the chance to push this message further than ever before.

Thank you for every bit of belief, love and energy you’ve put behind my work. I’m genuinely so proud of what we’ve created, and I can’t wait to see how far we can take it.

With love and gratitude,

Laura xOx

Hi everyone from Wallace Rockhole in the NT.

The kids are really proud of their 26 letter sounds song (phonetics), and they wanted me to get it up straight away to see how many views and comments they could get from people all around the world.

These kids are all waiting to see what you think out here, so if I know the generous spirit of my friends ands fans on this page, i'll put it over to you all for your response......

Enjoy from AT and the kids of Wallace Rockhole NT.

Happy New Year outback Outback Tracks followers.

People often talk about New Years resolutions and the need to make change. I believe change is a constant that we must be brave enough to confront daily. To try something new and scary that could have a positive impact on you takes bravery, especially as you get older in a world obsessed with measuring and judging.
This moment in Wuggular NT this year, where this man stepped up to record for the first time was confronting and yet he did it and the joy in his face immediately after is evident in this photo.
He may never sing, record, or ever be a 'star', but that is not the point. He gave feely of his will, his spirit and his ego that day and it paid out to all of us in the room, especially to him.
So resolve to not limit yourself to I can or I can't do. Perfection is a myth and is only proportionate to the next attempt you make or the next person efforts. Participation in this glorious thing called life is a gift you can give yourself ,without measurement, every step of the way.

I hope we all will take that mindset forward.
