Q***R PHOTOGRAPHY & ART PROJECT - CALL OUT πΈ
β¨ Are you Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander & identity as q***r and/or LGBTQIA+SB?
β¨ Are you a Person of Colour & Identity as Q***r and/or LGBTQIA+SB?
β¨ Are you from a diverse cultural background & Identity as Q***r and/or LGBTQIA+SB?
β¨ Are you happy sharing your story publicly? (identifiably or anonymously)
If yes! - we are looking for people to share their stories for an art project that will be in the Wollongong CBD. Highlighting how q***r identities exist and are interwoven within culture and traditions. Shining light on identities that are rarely represented
*Key dates:
πΈ Photoshoot & meet and greet days: Sat 8th or Sun 9th, August, 12-4pm
ποΈ Craft workshop days: Sat 29th or Sun 30th, August, 12-4pm
*You do not need to attend all of these dates, more details and expectations will be provided

What to expect?
PHOTOSHOOT DAY:
There will be a photoshoot day facilitated by Eren and Charlii (Charlii Angelz Creative). Charlii is a q***r Lebanese photographer who is very inclusive and welcoming. You can come as an individual, with a friend or your chosen family.
Your photo can be taken as a portrait or taken in a way that you will be anonymous, you can also bring objects to be photographed such as fabrics, food, clothes etc. (no flags) Please message me to confirm your attendance.
CRAFT DAY:
This will be a relaxed day to share your story through creativity. The project is led by community, so share your story through, drawing, painting collage, poetry, photos, fabrics, paper mache etc.
This workshop day will be facilitated by Eren and Jes (πππ π. π. ππππ‘πππππ), we will work with you to help express your stories and journey. Individuals, friends and chosen families are all welcome. Please message me to confirm your attendance.
π Where:
These workshop days will be on level 4 of the Wollongong Art Gallery, in the Education Room. This will be a privately booked space with lots of sunlight. Tea and coffee provided βοΈ
