A request from GASHE's founder, a.k.a. ANIMISM (ANIMISM)

"Can you kindly follow on Instagram? I'm extraordinarily motivated to begin substantially growing the ANIMISM name and spreading its reach. I'm struggling with getting those basic preliminary followers up to scratch, before I'm able to properly approach various venues, playlists, booking agents, etc. Can you help?

ANIMISM is a rest-of-life artistic project for me, that I've been practicing and trialing for around 4 years. I have 4-6 releases scheduled over the rest of 2023, a full first album and musical film across 2024, live shows and even overseas tours on tap.

Along the way I'm testing out next-gen technological solutions, like an Artist DAO, open source methods of self-funding art project (to share the findings with everybody), and already you've seen examples of using generative AI to assist with music videos and artwork.

If this at all sounds interesting to you, please do follow along - on Instagram and your choice of streaming platform/s. I also have a Telegram group/channel (animismworld / animismlive respectively), and am updating on 1% daily improvements, and each new milestone that comes along the way. This is also being written into the sequel to Plan Sea: my next travelogue / life journey book.

ANIMISM is a Goa-based multi-instrumentalist and music/festival producer, and COPNE is a tribute to his musical heritage, with the initial sketches of the piece first etched in 2005.

Monsoon Sessions - final callout for artists!

Our penultimate, 11th episode for our weekly Monsoon Sessions experimental music TV show is "Arambol Lifestyle". This intends to showcase our pleasant little beachside village bubble, regular happenings around town, and its inspiring platform for diversely talented artists.

What we're looking for is a selection of short clips - 3-5 minutes long - of original material.... ideally truly experimental! Take a chance, try something new, share something unusual or next-level.

Orchestral instruments? Analog or modular synths? Digital mashups? Different time signatures and styles?

Send us your audio/video, or suggest a gig you're playing at, and we'll collate the most suitable for our show.

Anjunabeats is the globe-spanning record label set up by trance veterans Above & Beyond. Anjunadeep is the more eclectic, experimental offshoot, home to a range of underground favourites including Ben Böhmer, Luttrell and Yotto.

Australia seek to make amends for its dark "Stolen Generation" history, that you should look up if you've not previously heard of it. This shameful nation also was the original instigator of Apartheid in South Africa.

"The Australian government announced on Thursday that it will pay reparations to members of its indigenous population who were forcibly removed from their families as children.

More than 100,000 indigenous children — known as the Stolen Generation — were taken from their families between the 1900 and 1970. Former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd described it as a “great stain on our nation’s soul”.

Members of the Stolen Generation who are still alive will now be able to claim AU$75,000 (£39,800) in reparations. They will also be given support to address their health needs.

The Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said the reparations scheme was intended “to say formally, not just that we’re deeply sorry for what happened, but that we will take responsibility for it.”

The Healing Foundation, which represents indigenous communities, said the reparations were “a major step in the healing journey of Stolen Generations survivors”. It urged the government to provide trauma support to those affected as part of the scheme."
