In honour of Our Elders for NAIDOC this year, the community of Meekatharra, WA, collaborated with Adam Thompson and the team from Outback Tracks, ABC Foundation and Yulella to create this music video to showcase the strength, resilience and stability of Our Elders. Our Elders guide and pave the way for our future generations and provide continuous unconditional love, strength, and support! We were so privileged to undertake this project with the Meekatharra community and hope you love the music video as much as we do and please share far and wide.

India holds a great passion for me deep in my soul.
As I sit here back on Australian soil today, I am already longing for my next return visit.
The young Muslim girls from Mumbra who we met and bonded closely with created this wonderful anthem on 'managing' hate speech. The haters exist in every culture but when you love in an extremely low socio economic area, hatred and fear is magnified.
Most of these young ladies live in strict households where singing, dancing, acting and self expression is not encouraged, so for then to unitedly be a voice while at the same time experiencing what young ladies here take for granted, was monumentally brave.
The only thing I can only show you is the song and video but that seems so insufficient compared to everything else we experienced.
I cant show the tears of frustration in their eyes when it was 'over' or the words they used in their debrief to explain in Hindi what it meant to them, but you'll have to trust me it was overwhelmingly special and as 'real' as anyone's life gets.
A big thank you to the Mumbai team who managed this process completely for the first time, To me this is equally as important because it now carves the foundation for authentic legacy of MusoMagic and Musikarma.
Finally to and for allowing us the opportunity to meet and work with these great future leaders of Mumbra community and India.
The Girls called themselves The Crazy Diamonds and the English translation of their song title is, Let's Decide.

Today I would love to finally share with you a project MusoMagic did with Dacssa - Disability Advocacy and Relationships Australia SA in October this year.
Over 25 people came together, from all over regional Mid-North South Australia to write and record a song for the Disability Royal Commission.

We used games, art and body movements to communicate so everyone could participate and have their say. Together we wrote a song.
'See Me' is a song all about shining a light on the skills, values, gifts and talents people with disability have to share.

The country disability community wants the Disability Royal Commission to know that they "have flare", are "not afraid", are "brave", "true" and capable.
Throughout the Royal Commission, country people have told DACSSA they want more opportunities, better jobs, better service access, meaningful relationships and to have more of a say in how life happens for them.
We are proud to have been involved in such an important project and look forward to many more.

Shout out to DCE (Diamond Creek East PS) who are performing their song about BEE's tonight to the school community.

Written with MusoMagic , the song talks about using your brain to make great choices. If you watch and listen to the rehearsal last night, it is very much apart of the school culture know and is cemented in song.

Happy Birthday to our superstar Rik (Ashish) Naskar.

Head vocal teacher, audio expert, manager of the MusoMagic India Academy and all round great guy, Rik is the epitome of self drive and determination until you get the job done.

After meeting each other in Kolkata, Rik took a chance to move to Mumbai to literally 'be available' if and when we needed him, without any promise or expectation of employment.
Bit by bit over the last ten years, he showed his capacity and proved his initiative. He learned English, learned audio and video production skills.
Today, he and wife Omshree Das Naskar have just hand built a brand new studio in Kharghar Navi Mumbai and we couldn't be prouder of them.
Not only is Rik a confidant and colleague, but we consider him one of our dearest friends.

MusoMagicers I hope you will drop Rik a message of Happy Birthday. I know it will mean a lot to receive.

OUR LADY OF LA VANG SCHOOL SINGING “SO BRIGHT” – THEIR SUBMISSION TO THE DISABILITY ROYAL COMMISSION

Submissions to the Disability Royal Commission can be in any format and are used as a method for sharing experiences with the Commissioners and the wider community about people’s experience of living with disability.

DACSSA had the very great honour of working together with the students of Our Lady of La Vang School so they could “say it their way”. We worked for a day of recording, singing a song written as a submission to the Disability Royal Commission.

Together we achieved great things

To use music and play, to engage children with disability for the purpose of raising their voice to the Disability Royal Commission

Produce a song and music video to use as a submission to the Disability Royal Commission

Highlight an innovative, progressive and courageous approach to eliciting viewpoints of children and their lived experience

Create a strengths-based environment to discuss issues affecting children with disability and their support networks
Challenge stereotypes of children with autism and intellectual disability

Mobilise inclusive teaching strategies to communicate effectively with each individual child and in turn provide them with equitable access to contribution to the music and video

Support children with disability, their families and their school to highlight reforms and recommendations needed for student’s futures to be bright.

Life is all about ins and outs!

The fantastic team at Assa Abloy new Zealand created this team anthem with MusoMagic's Teams in Tune, back in 2014.

On site at a conference venue, we wrote, recorded and filmed the clip over two days, then finished with an acoustic concert that went till the wee hours of the morning.

Looking to get back to the land of the long white cloud again in 2022 and hope to connect with some of my Assa Abloy mates after this long stretch of time.

Hi MusoMagicers

With the Paralympic games commencing tonight, I request all of Australia to get behind our amazing athletes.

Last year I was invited with MusoMagic to create a team anthem with the Australian Paralympic Swim Team, as I had done 10 years ago with our Olympic swimmers pre Beijing.
This anthem should have debuted last year on Channel 7 but like
last months Olympics and Covid, we have had to wait till now to celebrate these legends.

I am friends with many of these swimmers today and I know many will be following your response and comments o their anthem. I encourage you today to get to know their names and their faces and cheer massively in their pursuit of their Olympic dream.

I give you the anthem of the Australian Paralympic swim team, The First Ones Home, and await your response.
