Ode to Andrew 🥁

Over my 11 years at PBS, I have met so many wonderful people - musicians, presenters, staff, supporters... but meeting Andrew Young has been the best thing!

We met when I started doing reception during Soul Time and he would often swing by to guest announce. He’d always arrive immaculately dressed in a very sharp number, and over the months we bonded over style, music, films… Since then he’s become like family and has always been my biggest radio supporter. He’s my favourite pal to DJ with and I die of boredom if he’s not there to banter with me at a gig (“You two, always bitching at the back of the bar” as a certain someone used to say! 😆)

Chatting about All That Jazz, Kenneth Mars, our dream film festival lineup or lavender mustard, I am always in awe of his wit, wisdom and pep! Three cheers for Lord Jazz!!!

Excited to be joining my BFF Jazz on Saturday tomorrow for Radiofest on PBS 106.7FM Melbourne ✨📻✨

I’ve been volunteering at PBS for 11!! years now. In that time I’ve had the joy of presenting on air, being a receptionist and using my fine arts degree to create giant papermache masterpieces. Community radio is such an important part of Melbourne’s creative eco-system and I love being able to contribute even in a small way.
