✨VENUE INFORMATION✨
A lavish night of Fat Cabaret should be for every body.
melbourne is located on the ground floor in the middle of Meyers Place, situated between Bourke St and Little Collins St. The bar is a short stroll from tram stops (route 86/96) and Parliament train station.

Theory Bar is a step free venue, no stairs! There is a small rise from the street to the front entrance. Gender neutral bathrooms including an accessible bathroom.

No haze, strobe, or flashing lights.

Space will be made for wheelchairs and mobility aids. Please reach out for any access needs.

Fat Cabaret is a glorious celebration of fat performers taking centre stage on their own terms. Through cabaret, burlesque, music, and storytelling, we showcase bold, brilliant artists whose talent refuses to be sidelined.

Fat Cabaret is more than a performance night. It is a platform, a community, and a declaration that talent has never been size-specific. We believe in access, representation, and creating spaces where artists and audiences alike can take up space.

✨ CAST ANNOUNCEMENT: TRIGGER HAPPY ✨

Headlining our first show is the incredible Trigger Happy. He couldn’t provide us with a bio because he’s been too busy traveling Australia and the world with his very successful production of which headlined Edinburgh Fringe last year.

If you’re already familiar with Trigger’s work you’ll know he needs no introduction, and if you aren’t, you definitely don’t want to miss out. He will high kick, leap, and split his way straight from the stage and into your hearts.

Born of the raging storm, in the rolling mists on a dark moon, her power lies waiting in the quiet moments. Honouring her namesake, she guides us to explore the depths of our desires, and what lurks in the deepest shadows. A creature of the night, unearthing mysteries untold, she is O Nyx.

A Creatrix, witch, and seasoned performer; O Nyx weaves stories of myth, magic and the macabre. Her performance work includes fantasies of voyeurism in an ode to the femme fatale of film noir, letting loose as a grungy leather clad uninhibited wild woman, casting off the tropes of a s*x magic witch, exploring the grief and despair of the wailing woman, and over indulging in the taboos and pleasures of blood.
