Morning Easey St Artists. Today is going to be 44 degrees centigrade (extreme heat conditions) and strong Northey winds. I suggest that those who have studios on the 1st floor don’t come in today as we have no cooling system for the building.
If you need to come in please work downstairs on the ground floor spread yourselves around in the corridors.
But the best advice I can give you all is don’t come in at all today.

We've being undertaking a mini referb at the studios with lots of help from our artists. Its been hard work but a great bonding time.

Conserquently one new studios have been build and a numbered have had a facelift.

We now have 3 new/freshly painted studios available for rent ranging in size and monthly rental (minimum rental is 6 months then monthly thereafter). All these studios have fully enclosed walls and are lockable with power and fluorescence and some with direct light.

Sizes range from 11 squared metres to 20 squared meters and rents from $280pcm to $440pcm - we only allow the larger studios to be shared with one other person.

We have two walled and lockable studios becoming available on the 1st July each is 15 squared meters. Both have power and Fluor lighting. One is upstairs with windows facing east ( morning sun). The second is downstairs and is divided into 2 discrete areas with each compartment having built in desk or work space.

Further details and photos can be located on the Creative Spaces Site under Easey St Artist Studios. Collingwood.

Rent is $400 PCM each studio with a $50 key deposit per person. Lease is a minimum of 6 months and monthly there after. Studios can take up to 2 persons only.

Suitable for photographer, painter, illustrator, mixed visual media, small works sculpture, installation artist, small arts business such as Fashon etc.

Its with great sadness that i wish to let you all know that Mary Stylianou passed away last week from a long illness. Mary was a long time artist at the studios and was much respected and admired by all. She will be sorely missed through her commitment to the arts, her compassion and kindness.

After some long term planning Easey St Artist Studio's Gallery is being made available to allow up and coming and experimental visual arts curators to have the opportunity to develop their craft by hiring the gallery in blocks of 6 months or more.

Our first program has been developed by Adam Stone and colleague to run over 2016. This is an exciting and new innovation to support those professionals who wish to "have a go" before making a long term decision to pursue a curatorial career.

Come an support Adam and his team in this new adventure.
