We’re incredibly grateful to receive this feedback from Dandenong High School.

As school music programs grow, so does the wear and tear on the instruments students rely on every day. That’s exactly why we developed our on-site Classroom Repairs service to help schools keep guitars in playing condition without the hassle of sending instruments away or disrupting classes.

Thank you to Dandenong High School for trusting Harron Custom Guitars with your instruments and allowing us to support your students and music programs.

If your school’s guitars are starting to show their age, we’d love to help.

I was honoured to work on newly inducted Aria hall of famer Chris Cheney very own 6120CC signature, just before The Living End hit a string of shows over the next few months. Congratulations to those guys, a genuine part of Australian rock history and very well deserved. An absolutely stellar Japanese made instrument, now playing the way it should after some fret dressing, and fixing a nut that had long been past its due date. I included a few extra shots for fans in here, check em out! Special thanks to Mick who works closely with the band for trusting me with this one 🙏🏻

Late last year, I took a step back from work after losing my big brother in a sudden accident.

Steve was one of my biggest supporters and always believed this service belonged in schools and universities. He had a vision and would always encourage me to take risks.

Today, I’m proud to announce this new venture in honor of that vision, and immortalise him in it by having his own handwriting turned into the font you see above.

If you’re a teacher, or even a student, you can find more information on my website.

And if you’re a friend, I’d love your help in spreading this message far and wide.

Custom Baritone Strat for - You may have seen this one in our stories, featuring some average fretwork and an even worse fingerboard radius. It’s all fixed and has been solid for a few weeks now. When a guitar doesn’t play the way you want, it’s less inspiring to pick up, music doesn’t flow through you the way it should, look after your gear and it’ll help fuel that creative spark 🔥

dropped in an interesting build for me to complete recently, composing of an acrylic Dan Armstrong replica body, and a aluminium neck, complete with nickel silver frets and a brass nut.. Though about twice as heavy as your average Les Paul, these sorts of builds have proven to be menacing for those doom, drone riffs this demographic of guitarist loves. Whether or not it’s your flavour, this thing absolutely rips 🔥

Someone finally did it.. Stainless in the Josh Smith SL7 -
When this guitar was dropped a lot of people complained it didn’t come with stainless, however it’s a signature, and Josh never used to use stainless (except is custom shop 29.4” baritones) and so it was only a matter of time before I was asked to do it. I convinced Luca to go down a size, extra jumbo is cool and all, but there’s a common misconception that larger frets = longer fret life. So here’s the SL7 with 104x47 Jescar Music Stainless Steel fretwire. It’s glassy smooth, and future proofed just that little bit more.
