As time fly's by we are heading towards ANZAC Day. A Day were we gather in solemn remembrance of the Niuean soldiers who answered the call to serve far beyond the shores of their island home.
With unwavering courage, they stood alongside allies in lands they had never seen or heard of, carrying with them the strength, dignity, and the mana of Niue.
We honor the men who left their families, their villages, and their vaka, their livelihood, stepping into the uncertainty of war with steadfast resolve.
Their service reflects the highest values of duty, loyalty, and collective sacrifice.
Fakaaue lahi mahaki to those heroes who served, to those who fell, and to the families who bore the weight of their absence.
Your legacy endures in the stories we preserve, the freedoms we uphold, and the respect we carry forward.
May we continue to remember their contribution with humility and gratitude.
May their courage remain a guiding light for future generations.
