Paul, Ross and Craig McDowall, along with Belinda McDowall and Grace Pan had the great honour of accepting the Order of Australia medal today, awarded to our late mother Carolyn McDowall. We are humbled and honoured as we know Mum would have been as well. Our thanks to all who knew her and were touched by her dedication to education, the decorative arts, and her service to the community.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Carolyn McDowall
will be held on Monday 7 October 2019 at 1.15pm.

We welcome everyone who would like to attend to celebrate the passionate life that Carolyn lived. If you are going to attend, we request that you let us know by emailing [email protected], so we can plan for numbers.

Carolyn McDowall, Founder and Editor in Chief of The Culture Concept and beloved mother of Paul, Ross and Craig passed away peacefully in her sleep last night. She was an amazing woman with an irrepressible spirit and, while we are deeply saddened by her passing, we are sure that she is now in a better place. There will be a funeral and service in coming weeks and we will advise details soon.
