🦜 Meet 'Harley'-our latest Harlequin Macaw mosaic, completely done and dusted!
I really wanted to push the boundaries of glass realism with this piece, creating a living, breathing 3D effect. Some of the detailing was so intricate it felt like micro-mosaic!
Size: 46cm x 56cm (18” x 22”)
it took me Less than 4 weeks to hand-cut and piece together.
While hyper-realism isn’t everyone's personal style, I’ve found that developing these precision skills has completely transformed my overall mosaic abilities-no matter what style of project I'm working on.

Another stunning result from our May online class, by Pat Scott! Pat has been working so hard in a large class of 19 students, and we think she’s done an amazing job learning the D&H Technique. One of the most important aspects of realistic mosaics are the expressions you can achieve in animals, and Pat has nailed it. I wonder what this dear little cat is thinking?

🌟 MASTERPIECE COMPLETE: Introducing "Adam" 🌟
​Remember the work-in-progress glimpses of Kala’s latest mosaic of our 6-year-old nephew? After 6 weeks of incredible dedication, it is officially complete! 🎉
​Measuring 100cm x 80cm (3’3” x 2’6”), this piece is a true masterclass in realism. As always with glass, a photograph can never fully capture the true magic because of the reflections—but seeing the way the light glows in person is absolutely breathtaking. It looks exactly like Adam.
​Next up, we plan to frame it in a beautiful rustic timber that perfectly complements the dark, atmospheric background. I am so incredibly proud of my husband! ❤️
​🔥 Coming this October: Learn the Secret to Capturing Light!
​Seeing the stunning glow on Adam's hands and face has inspired Kala's next online masterclass. This October, he will be hosting a specialized intensive course focusing entirely on the complex art of hands under light.
