Create & Chat is on THIS FRIDAY at The Local Umbrella in Croydon, and this week we’re playing with alcohol inks and process art 🙂

So what exactly is Create & Chat? It’s a small group of adults that come together and create a piece (or pieces) of art while having a chat about whatever is going on. It’s run by Emma Kate Art Counselling (aka - me) in collaboration with The Local Umbrella (who very kindly are providing the space during “quiet hours” in the sensory café). It isn’t formal “therapy”, but it is a nice and therapeutic or mindful activity. Plus we all made wonderful new friends last term 🥰

The Local Umbrella is a space set up specifically with those who have sensory needs in mind, it’s a warm and welcoming environment that’s kind of like being in a friend’s living room. There are toys, games, and books galore to entertain the kids, a café filled with delicious treats, and your favourite rainbow-haired local (again, me 😅).
