Follow along with this ring remake, as I recreate a favourite design and beloved engagement ring that very unfortunately was stolen.
This is a wax cast piece with a spinel and sapphire set after it’s cast into metal, so this part of the process shows the tidy up and setting and final polish :)

Fin! In some ways this is still a mess but it’s feels incredible to have cleaned up this space and start moving into the front room that used to be solari studio, the very last photo was the corner I used to clamber in and out of, where I’d squished all these tools, benches and equipment amongst the solari stockroom. Very generous of my mum to donate a healthy handmedown drop off as she downsized her workshop.

I’m so over the moon, and ready to tend to orders and emails and designs and make things!!

The ring is white gold and taupe lab diamond in swirling gold metal. I’m particularly fond of the double talon-like claws!

A huge floral bouquet ring with a kite cut 3.02CT amethyst, gentle petals protect the sharpest points of the precious stone.

Some pieces come together on the bench, but of late I’ve been approaching some with more planning and drawing such as this piece. Luckily I found a perfect gem to bring the drawing to life.
