Supporting the drag community of Naarm! Supporting trans, AFAB, BIPOC & disabled drag artists

Performers of Pride started out during the COVID-19 lockdowns in Naarm/Melbourne, a small group of drag performers turned to creating videos online to keep in touch with their audience. They were feeling pretty isolated, just like many of us, and found a way to express themselves and feel connected even when their audience was just a few friends at first. (Most of the videos created during lockdow

ns are lost now, but you can still find a couple of them at our Youtube page)

As things began to open back up, Performers of Pride really came into its own. They shifted from just making videos to organizing live drag events around the city. It's all about creating safe, inclusive spaces where everyone in the queer community can come together, share their art, and celebrate who they are. Now, they're a growing name in the Melbourne drag scene, continuing to expand. They put on events that not only showcase the incredible talents of local queer performers but also make sure everyone who attends feels welcome. They believe drag is more than just entertainment; it’s a transformative art form that builds connections and supports people. Performers of Pride is all about fostering a community where everyone can feel safe to express themselves and celebrate their individuality. It's about lifting each other up and amplifying the voices that sometimes go unheard, ensuring that diversity and empowerment are always part of the conversation.

Ar**la Grande returns as Buffy in Once More With Feeling: A Buffy Tribute Show, and let’s be real — no one captures “existential crisis but make it fierce” quite like her.

From weary Slayer to full-blown icon, Ar**la’s Buffy is here to carry the weight of the world, the show, and a killer red pleather top — all while trying not to murder Xander (again).

🚨 CHEEKY CAST POST: MON & MAT AS TOWNSPEOPLE 🚨

Okay, okay — this one’s a little cheeky, but how could we not give the legends behind the bar their own cast poster?

Mat and Mon are the heart and hustle of Pride of our Footscray, and they’re once again helping bring Sunnydale to life — this time on the stage.

Mat returns in his now-iconic role as Mustard Man (yes, the guy who proudly declares, “They got the mustard out!”), and Mon is stepping into the spotlight too — because it turns out, running a bar and wrangling a vampire musical aren't quite enough for these two.

He may not have powers, fangs, or a mystical backstory — but he does have a Hawaiian shirt and a deep fear of commitment.

Silvio Di Baci brings the bumbling heart of the Scooby Gang to life as Xander in Once More With Feeling: A Buffy Tribute Show. Equal parts funny, fragile and full of feelings he refuses to talk about, Xander’s the guy who summoned a singing demon just to spice up his week. (Yes, that was canon.)

Silvio’s blend of dry humour, camp chaos, and perfect comedic timing makes him the ideal choice for everyone's favourite emotional support liability.

Mushroom is stepping into the sensible shoes and emotional repression of Rupert Giles in Once More With Feeling: A Buffy Tribute Show. A drag artist, fe**sh performer, aerialist, and expert costumer, Mushroom is known for creating richly detailed looks that bring characters to life — or undeath.
