September Pop Culture Terrarium Workshops 🌿✨

I have some extra availability throughout September and would love to run a series of themed creative workshops! They’re designed to be relaxed, beginner-friendly sessions where people can make something unique to take home.

🌱 Pokémon Playground

Create the perfect miniature playground for your favourite PokĂŠmon! Design a lush terrarium using moss, stones and decorations. Then add your PokĂŠmon to bring your miniature world to life.

🌵 Star Wars Paint, Plant and Sip

Paint your own Star Wars miniature before creating a Tatoonie inspired desert terrarium. Perfect for Star Wars fans of all ages.

🍓 Strawberry Shortcake Garden

Paint your own terracotta pot before planting fresh strawberries to grow at home. A sweet, colourful workshop inspired by everyone’s favourite berry-loving friends.

🍃 Studio Ghibli Movie Night

Spend a cosy afternoon watching a Studio Ghibli film while creating a whimsical woodland terrarium inspired by the magical worlds of Ghibli. Think moss, tiny pathways, enchanted forests and soot sprites.

🦕 Jurassic Terrarium

Become a mini palaeontologist! Dig to uncover hidden dinosaurs before creating your own prehistoric terrarium filled with ancient plants and your newly discovered dinosaurs.

✨ Have another theme in mind? I’d love to explore it! These workshops can be customised to suit different fandoms, seasons, age groups or special events. This is perfect for cafés, libraries, community spaces, schools and private functions.

AI is a huge conversation out there and brings a certain energy. Not to forget every piece of advertising material looks the same. But we understand how hard it is to get affordable media and advertising content.

So if you are a not-for-profit or small business, feel free to reach out to us to design your posters and advertising material.

We’ll do a project for free or help get you in touch with an artist who’s looking for an opportunity to expand their portfolio.

☀️Hear ye, dreamers, makers, performers, knights and fae.☀️

Gumleaf and Glitter is beginning the journey of bringing Festival of Sunlight to life: a medieval and roleplay inspired festival filled with creativity, performance, magic and mischief.

We’re currently gathering the first circle of people who might like to help shape this world from the ground up. Whether you’re a performer, artist, stallholder, cosplayer, organiser, fantasy nerd, or simply someone with a good eye for wonder, I’d love to invite you to our first creative meeting.

☀️Wednesday 22 July
☀️5pm
☀️Jubilee Community Centre

We are very much in the concept and dreaming stage, so this first gathering is all about sharing ideas, exploring what this festival could become, and deciding which elements feel most essential to its heart.

A few things to know before you arrive:

☀️You’re welcome to come even if you’re unsure about being on the committee long-term. There will be many ways to be part of the festival beyond formal planning roles.
☀️If you’d like, bring a vision board, sketches, Pinterest finds, or simply a handful of ideas about how you’d see yourself/your business in a medieval or renaissance fair setting.
☀️Nibbles shall be provided.

If the thought of building a little realm of sunlight full of story, costume, performance and play sounds like your kind of adventure, I’d be delighted to have you at the table.

Gumleaf & Glitter is developing a new arts/cultural event concept separate from our Pride programming — something inspired by fantasy, entertainment, mindfulness, and immersive community experiences. We’re currently in the early planning stage and looking for a small committee / working group to help shape the concept, assist with grant applications, and share planning tasks.
