(KIAF) is a community organisation based on Kangaroo Island in South Australia. Our organisation promotes the arts on Kangaroo Island: visual arts, music, drama, dance, photography, literature, gardening, and culinary arts. We are associated with a variety of other organisations on KI: the Dudley Writers’ Group, Junction Community Centre, the Kangaroo Island Council, Fine Art Kangaroo Island, and

more. KIAF has played a key role in promoting the arts and facilitating the exhibition and sale of Kangaroo Island residents’ visual art since 2003. It has initiated and supported Youth Art Feast in collaboration with Kangaroo Island Community Education, and has hosted or organised a variety of arts exhibitions and performances for many years. Our committee and base of supporters are comprised of arts lovers from every walk of life: musicians, singers, teachers, photographers, artists, writers, readers, dancers, actors, roadies, designers... we love all of the arts and what they do to enrich our lives. It’s a beautiful morning here in Kingscote, so come on down to 16 Commercial Street to visit the gorgeous Cloudscape garden! Cloudscape is open as part of the Spring Garden Festival and entry is free ☺️ There are pot plants, cookies and mosaic creations on display!

Letting the Summer Go Book Launch!

Letting the Summer Go is inspired by true events after the Black Summer bushfires in 2019-20. It tells the story of how a mother and daughter found the courage to move forward by tending their garden.
We hope that the poetic text by Alice Teasdale and sumptuous illustrations by Julia Both will help parents talk to their children about the journey forward after a difficult event. It's a joyful story about working towards recovery by watching colour unfurl from the earth, under the watchful eye of a disgruntled hen!
Welcome to our Kangaroo Island book shop where we'll share stories, celebrate springtime and give this children's book the launch it deserves.
Official Launch will be at 2pm, but drop in between 1 and 3:30 to chat and celebrate! Wine, juice and nibbles will be served.

The recent Adelaide Guitar Festival at Eleanor Downs was proudly supported by KI Art Feast. Helping the youth of Kangaroo Island grow and share their musical talent.
